Why is facebook distorting my photos?

Basically, I use my ipod to upload photos because I have no other way to take them and that's where they are when I need to put them on facebook. I go on my computer and when I view them, they are distorted or stretched out horizontally. I don't understand?

Because thats what facebook does.. it sucks, they only have a limited amount of staff members.
