is it normal to post love dedication for someone as status on facebook?

i've seen some of my friends posting love dedication for girls as status.sometimes begging.is this normal?why not just send it like a message or better write into a piece of letter or say it face to face

To some people its normal but personally it is quite odd that they don't like to keep those feelings to each other and make them more special rather than sharing them with the world. It seems to be that you find this strange but thats okay everyone has different opinions which is the beauty of life.
