How did Facebook know who I "might know?!"?
I created a completely new Facebook account with a new email and absolutely no ties to my previous networks. However upon creating it, Facebook has a list for me of "People I may know." They got about 75% wrong but some of the top hits are people I know. How did they do this?!?!
I moved out of state and it still links me to people from my hometown. Like I said, I don't feel I have any ties linking me to my past!

Because of the people that live around your neighborhood or city, and if your friends have friends that live there too
