Can a tag disappears on facebook?

This is the thing. I tagged a guy on facebook with some other friends of mine he doesn't know. They're from my high school but I met that guy at Uni. I shared a youtube link with them and the next few day, I found this post disappears on his wall. When I check it on my wall, his tag is disappeared. All my other friends are alright! Did he detect the tag? Actually I and my friends talked a little under the post, but just some random junks. Is that bothering him or something?
If he removes it himself, why? Is that post bothering him that much? We're actually not bad friends. Well, I can't ask him at Uni, because he is already been two weeks not attending his classes

He prob removed the tag himself. You can untag yourself from things and you can also hide thing from your timeline as well.
