How do I convince my parents to get me an iPhone?

My parents are so tight and I want more than anything to just have an iPhone! Everyone else at school has them and all the best smartphones and I have my brick and it's embarrasing!!! How should I convince my tight parents to get me one without getting them to say money is tight and whatever? Then I say I'll pay for it and stuff... thoughts??

Maybe make an agreement with them. Say you will do this for the phone like cleaning or something that helps ur parents out! I did that with my mom on getting a cat, I told her I would take care of it, clean the litter box, feed & water them & keep the hair picked up, and for Christmas, I got a cat(:

I want to know how old are you and could you take some part-time job to make some money? Then you may ask your parents for just half.

I will say i phone is a waste of money. If you already have a computer or Notebook you don't need that. If you don't have a computer / Notebook buy that and forget the smartphones.

I"m not saying they don't have any use but not worth to convince parents and buy. I just grown out from smartphones. Now i use nokia X1 very basic phone. My battery last for 1 week at least I will never go back to smartphones. Meanwhile i never bought a smartphone all i got were gifts.

If you really want a smart phone then go for galaxy sIV that is better phone with lot of flexibility with the power of android. .

Do all the research yourself so they dont need to do any of it. Find the cheapest deal and plan to show them the cost, money doesn't grow on trees so you may have to give up some things (use imessage or apps for texting, etc., to lower the monthly plan, get iphone 4 which is free with a 2 year contract).
