Facebook mobile question 10 points fast?

for people to chat with, some have green dots to represent online, some people have a picture of a cellphone, some people have a phone symbol and how long they've been offline, but there are a few people that have nothing at all. No green dot, no phone, it's blank. I don't think they are offline though because they usually are in the middle of the list what' does it mean thanks

Could it be the most recent friend's facebook profile you clicked on? Could it be the most popular facebook profiles you click on? Could it be the most recently added friends on to facebook? Could just be random friends they choose to be on there but they just can't put all your friends on there? Could they be the friends that get on facebook the most? I'm not exactly sure what it is but these are some suggestions that should help. Next time you get on facebook you can just use these to figure it out if you really want to know that.

They might have turned off the chat.
Or may be appearing offline with you using the "Advance Settings" in the "Chat" option.

Sometimes, when people don't want to chat and only want to browse Facebook then they do so..
Appear to be Offline!!

Perhaps, they could be really offline also. The order in the list doesn't matter at all !!

When you can't chat online or only message them offline ( in their inbox ) option is possible then whatever be the reason, you have to understand that
They are Offline.... Not active in Facebook!!

I think green dots represent online friends and those friends who have cell phone pictures is friends who use Facebook from iPhone. People who have no symbol and pictures means they are offline few hours ago. Thanks.
