in a relationship status on facebook?

alright i hope i explain this right. so i put on my facebook that i am in a relationship with my boyfriend.. when you go to my front page it shows that i am with him. if you go to my about page it also shows that i am with him. next to that though it says (pending) now if you go to his facebook it still says single. i thought he had to accept my request for it to tell who i am dating. hope i explained this ok and hopefully someone can explain this to me better. also he is out of state till september for work. has to check his facebook on his phone.

It Says Pending Because He Hasint Accepted the Request Yet He Has To Accept it Before the Request Will Show up on Both Profiles
