The media was the 800 pound gorilla in the room! They picked the candidates for both parties and they manipulated the news to ensure nothing good got out about McCain and nothing bad was said about Obama. That being said, Obama ran a good campaign and in the end, he won. It is over. Time to quit fighting and go to work!

Barack Obama advertised his campaign through the use of social networking sites (facebook, myspace, etc.)- this could get his word out and ppl knew what he was supporting!

I doubt if either had much of an influence. They couldn't compete with the major news media on that one. The media holds Obama up as some kind of a messiah. He is their darling. I just hope he doesn't take his lack of experience and really make a mess out of things. We're in bad enough shape now as it is.
