Why do I get a notification of Facebook when someone shares a link?

I haven't asked to get notifications from this person, it was just random and it hasn't happened with anyone else when they share their links.

I don't know, maybe if they tag your name, and you just haven't noticed it yet. It is fine though, I actually don't know either but sometimes we get random notifications we are unaware of.

It might be a fan Page or Group. Someone may added you in a group. And when they are posting in it you got notification.

It is because you've probably added them to your "Close Friends" list. If you want to stop getting notifications from them, go to your close friends list and on the top right, it says notifications, click it and check "Off".
