How do I allow non friends to send me messages on facebook?

No need for description. Can you please just tell me how I change my privacy settings so non friends are allowed to message me please?

Have you tried your Messages > Other folder? It's just beside Inbox folder. Your non friends' messages might be there. Once you are in this folder you can Edit Preferences and set your preference. This is the only option available as of now.

The previous way of working - "Who can contact you?" is now removed and FB has a business strategy in place.

Try looking in your Other Inbox - Messages from people non on your friends list go into a separate Inbox called Other.
