How did they like my Facebook status?

I updated my status, and a person that unfriended me liked my status.
I did not tag anyone, and the privacy for my posts is Friends Only.
Also, none of that person's friends (or our mutual friends) liked it, so I don't know how they were able to see it.

When someone unfriends me, does it mean that I can't look at their stuff but they can?

I always thought it meant that none of us can look at each others posts (since both profiles are private)

Usually if they have unfriended you they get removed from your friends list! Maybe you thought they unfriended you but actually didn't! Otherwise I don't see how they could like your post!
