These kids asked if they could borrow my guitar amps on facebook and they haven't brought them back yet?

They said they were gonna bring them back in several hours and its been about 2 days and still they haven't brought them back. I contacted them about the amps and they never replied yet really I don't want to have to deal with these kids I have too much on my schedule already and I'm about to just call the police. I have evidence of them borrowing my amps on facebook so if I showed the police that do you think they could do something about it.
I do know them, their not really friends though...

When did you contact them? Give them atleast a day or two to reply. If they don't reply, I suggest you contact the police.

unlikely the police would do anything. Why did you lend it to them in the first place!? Put it down to experience and don't do it again

By the way you are talking about it, it sounds like you don't actually know these people? If this is true, why would you let them borrow it??

The police may help, but it isn't as if they stole it from you, sounds like you handed it over to me.

EDIT: In that case, give them a little bit more time to reply. If they don't then go round to their house, ask them about it. I am assuming that you and them are fairly young and so I am sure their parents can help sort it out when you turn up.
