Is Marketing a good career to go into?

I was thinking of going to University to do Public Relations or Advertising with Marketing.
I'm kind of creative I'm studying Media, History, English and Sociology at A-Levels and I want to earn a good wage when I'm older...but I don't want to go into a career where it will take me 4 years to find a job or that is not interesting.

I'm either thinking Marketing or Social Work (I know completely different to each other....)

Do some current research for those kind of jobs on sites like Monsterboard. There you can see a) if there any jobs at the moment, b) what requirements for jobs is and c) what average pay is.

Be aware that for marketing jobs there is always fierce competition from university graduates that only studied Marketing.

My advice would be to get some good experience during your study, so you can start building a resume and be more attractive for employers to hire you
