How can I get pinterest and facebook to stop sending me emails?

I would love to have an email that does not require me having to delete every social networking website that I have ever made. I can't make another email because I have all my friends and contacts on this one and it would be a pain to have to switch everything. Any help?

Both of those sites have settings options that will allow you to reduce or completely turn off email notifications.

In Facebook it is under Account Settings, then Notifications. They have a help page about this here https://www.facebook.com/help/notifications

You can go into Facebook settings and tell it to not email you about everything that happens with your friends.

Click the gear icon in the upper right and choose Account Settings.

Then click Notifications in the left side menu.

Then click Email and you'll see the settings for what sends you email and what doesn't, which you can change.

I don't use Pinterest but I'm sure they have similar settings.

I was just wondering the same thing! Okay but I found out.
Facebook Settings:
1) Go to the setting icon
2) Click on 'Account settings'
3) Go to 'Notifications'
4) See where it says what you get notified about? Yeah that's where you can turn off your notifications that facebook emails you.

Pinterest Settings
1) Scroll over your name at the top.
2) Click on 'Settings'
3) Next to your email it has a button that says 'Email settings'
4) There you can pick the emails that you don't want to receive.
