Do you agree with the Republican position that Social Security should be privatized so that Republicans in the?
House of Representatives can engage in more hijinks like the debt ceiling debacle and the FAA lockout, resulting in massive instability in the markets and completely bankrupting the Social Security system?

B Question: Why would any rational person vote for people who plan to destroy Social Security by allowing all of the funds in the Social Security trust fund to be dissipated by market instability?

No way.

Imagine what would have happened to all those seniors if Bush had privatized their savings right before the Great Recession hit...

Social Security is by definition a "social safety net" program. Privatizing it is simply out of the question.

I agree that we need to seriously look at the possibility of privatizing Social Security.

Only the government could have gotten away with absconding with the money I, and millions of others, have put away for retirement.

A private company would have been held accountable and prosecuted for such shenanigans.

No because Harliburton would get another no-bid contract or they would create another Enron to rob us

Trusting Social Security to the fluctuations of the market? What could possibly go wrong with that?

I wouldn't mind 10% of it being privatized, so I could invest a little of it on my own.

The socialist absurdity myth will be the cause of Americas downfall. So far it had enslaved a generation it will bankrupt another and when, after a lifetime of paying into it, the money is not there what will happen? What do you think? The government must realize it is in over it's head with socialist absurdity and end the ill conceived program before it is too late.

No one has suggested we privatize it to those at or near retirement age. As for the others. The conservatives are willing to admit that we see the iceberg ahead and wanna stop this ship from running into the Entitlement Iceberg of the Century. The Democrats are willing to let us crash into it and lose any use of it for everyone. Congressman Paul Ryan has come up with a proven way to save it for this generation and the future ones as well. But don't let the truth stop you from having fun.
