In order to be eligible to sign up for Facebook, you must be at least 13 years old.

Depends on whether you know what they are doing online or not. Some 11-13 year olds won't get into too much trouble, others can be bullies, or be victimized by bullies or worse. You need to monitor your child's internet activity.
Better safe than sorry, and please explain that everything they post will be usable against them through out their entire life- including job situations. |

NO. From what I've seen of my young cousins profiles, Facebook at that age is full of immaturity and school bullies who comment on everything. Save yourself the embarrassment and wait a few years.
Before Facebook there was "Piczo and Myspace" when I was that age. Looking back now, that was a bad idea as well. |

From posts and details I've seen older kids up to 18 or 19 put on facebook, I don't thing THEY are mature and sensible enough, let alone 11,12, or13 year old kids.
