How much of the latest media crap, hype, "breaking story" is magnified to simply sell some ads?

You name it. Its all making something of any story, politicize any event, whether it makes Conservatives or Liberals look bad is immaterial, its all just made as huge as possible.

Furthermore, everything, all social, political, and economic stories get wrapped up in the election. It seems worse than ever. All news has been trivialized, all events turned into entertainment, and a ton of non stop noise is made to totally obscure the truth whether its the truth about the environment, debt, security, etc.

all for an ad dollar.
Dead Ambassador? What? nah...that's not news. What's news is Romney talking about it or Obama lying about it. That's news. The presence, security, and approach to managing the consulate in Libya, and what's to be done to avoid this in the future... no, nobody is going to hear anything about that.
PBS: You should look at whose pulling the strings there, but there is less ad pressure.

I try not to get my information from news media. Best place to get unbiased news is PBS and then go on-line to check the facts and get more information.
