Don't think you can delete it but you can change it.

Just change the privacy of your birth date info to 'Only Me' and it will hide for everyone.

I don't actually think you can delete it but you can select who can see it and who can't by doing the following steps:

1.Go to your timeline and click Update Info under your cover photo
2.Find the Basic Information section and click Edit
3.Click next to your birthday to choose who can see it
4.You can also choose if you want to show your full birthday, just the month and day, or not at all from the dropdown.
5.Click Save
