How can I set so friends don't see what I like/comment on in Facebook?

I tend to like and comment on my best friend's statuses a lot and it bothers and confuses others that see what I do. How can I change so no one but the one I comment on see it? Is there a way, including those subscribed?

I don’t know to change it so just comments and likes can’t be seen, but on each comment or like, click a little tab that will have a globe or friend thing, than go to only me, or custom.
