facebook private messages?

I sent some people private messages on facebook but havent got a reply in a few days. Is it possible they didnt get the message because i am not added as a friend, like is there a setting to block non-friend messages? Its shown in my inbox that its been sent.

Who can I send private messages to from my Facebook Page?

You can only send messages to people who've contacted you on your Page. Respond to a message your Page has received by going to your Page's inbox.

You can't message someone who likes your Page unless they've messaged the Page first. Facebook has limits in place to prevent behavior that others may find annoying or abusive, such as unsolicited messages.

i received a message from someone once that was not my friend and although i did get it, it went into "other" and i actually didn't even notice it for like two months. so maybe that is what happened and they haven't seen it. and yes, you can block non-friends from sending you messages, so that could be also the case. but i think if they did that, the "send message" option would not even be there.
