How to keep the comments/likes when making a photo your profile picture?

I went to the picture and made it my DP. (with the cropping screen and everything) but when I click on my DP there are no likes, comments and the description is gone, as if I just uploaded it.

Any way to get around this?

No There is No Way to Get Around this When you Make a New Picture a Profile Picture All the Comments and Likes are Gone Once you Set it as a Profile Picture Once on the New Picture the Likes and Comments Will Stay the Same as Long as you Change it To that Profile Picture From the Profile Pictures Photo Album

there is no way around it - the cropping part creates another/different picture

the only way to change your default picture and keep the likes and comments is if the picture is already in the profile photos folder (if it's already been cropped)
