How do people spy on Facebook users?

what do you mean by spy? all you have to do it look at someone's profile and you can see anything they make public if you arent their friends

but if the person doesnt make anything open to the public (like most people), then there is no way to "spy" on them - you will only be able to see their cover picture and their default picture, which are always public

Adam doesnt seem to understand your question: in fact, that whole youtube video explains a complex process of just clicking on your "messages" link on the top left of your homepage and then selecting the person you want to view your chat history with

it has nothing to do with spying on anyone
