Where, in the United States, are the social service jobs booming?
I am going to graduate with an Master's in Social Work and I looking to move out of New York. As you can tell, I am not oppose to moving to another state. I just don't wan to move somewhere where the job market for social service is small. Any positive advice would be helpful.

Oh yeah, New Jersey is out of the question. I am aware of their social service agencies.

There are a lot of social service opportunities in Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. Explore in these areas. The differentiating factor between these opportunities is how political the roles and responsibilities are. If you are all into politics, then DC is the place.

Any and all major cities are going to have huge social service demands. Now if you are referring specifically to working for social services then you can also include many rural areas (as they have a much harder time finding MSW's.
