Pick a product or service currently marketed that "bothers" you. Discuss what you think to be the ethical implications of the product's or service's introduction into the market place. Discuss what you would do (or change) if you were the marketing manager in charge of that offering. Discuss whether you think the product should be marketed or not. Ads |

If this was my assignment, I'd do a case study about McDonalds. There will be tons of information about McDonalds on the Internet. In particular, look for information about where they started (fries, hamburgers) then talk about moving to healthier options. Supersize me (the movie) hurt this brand a lot. And the big problem they face is that despite tipping millions into advertising, no-one I know really believes that mcDonalds is healthy. (you could tie the product into obesity and other health problems, especially with young people.)
