What is the obsession with Farmville ?

I don't get it. Granted I have never played, but I have watched people play FV 1 &2 and I just don't get the obsession. What exactly is so great about it?

well.... theres nothing great about nicotine, but people are addicted to smoking....

They're both games that don't require much thinking, so people play them to de-stress. Plant something, harvest it, feed animals....I do this when I'm on the phone just to keep my hands occupied.

I don't get either. I guess it makes people less stressed or reminds them of the good old days or something. Honestly I think it's a stupid game along with every other game with ville in it.
