You cannot find this out. It's part of Facebook's privacy rules/regulations.

Search his/her username....if u dont find them ask ur frend to do the same
If ur friend finds the one u r looking for then he/her blocked u

If you type their name into the search box on Facebook you will not be able to find their profile when logged into your own account. However you will be able to find the profile when logged into the account of another Facebook user who has not been blocked by the person you are searching for.
