Do you think it was ok for me to call this guy a bad name?

So on Deviantart I posted a chain letter 10 months ago (after someone else posted it on my while). It was silly and in the past, and 10 months ago.

So yesterday this rude guy who just created an account says "gees, stop posting *censored*".

I tell him "gees, read the date before you comment, it was 10 months ago, going 10 months without posting isn't continuing".

Then he said "gees, do you ever stop posting *censored*?"

So I said "Gees, do you ever read. I just said it was 10 months ago! You stop posting this *censored*, dumb---."

Do you think it was ok for me to insult him, or was it best to leave that out?

I think it's fine. He sounded like a dumb douche. I woulda done the same

It was best to ignore the person who responded rudely. How you responded was just fighting fire with fire. Nothing accomplish but wasted time. Sometimes it's difficult to not respond to those assholes but we have to ignore it.
