No they will not know; as in they won't get any notification. But if they were to search you on FB they won't find you in the search bar nor on their friend's list. So its only then they will suspect/ realize they have been blocked.

yes he/she will understand that you have block him/her coz you will magically diss apear from his/her inbox search etc and he/she will not also be able click on ur profile thats they will easily understand

Yes if he/she is intelligent.
If you and the person you blocked are tagged in a pic by one of your common friend,then the blocked person can see your name in tag list but he/she can't click on your name.Your name would be in plain black letters but other names would be in blue colour which are clickable.
If you and the person you blocked doesn't have any common friends then your safe.

If you decide to block someone,does it matter if they understand or not? I have blocked people before if I think the message is hateful and doesn't reflect my moral values.And I don't care if they understand or not! lol.
