On facebook when a place or organization is suggested to us, does that come from someone?

This can be based on different things. For example

- One of your friends might be a fan of that brand on Facebook, but have a setting that Facebook is not allowed to use their name in marketing. The brand will still show up because one of your friends likes it but you won't get information about who it is.

- The page has paid to promote their content to friends of fans. ("Sponsored posts")

- If you already like a brand, movie, book or some such, you can get suggestions based on that. ("Suggested posts")
