Facebook error message, "Something's wrong, please try again later?"?

I hate Facebook right now.

I try and log in last night after being able to use it all day yesterday just fine. I log in and it brings me to the “You’ve been blocked from sending friend requests for seven days” messages. I go through all the little windows and check all the boxes and everything, but then when I click the last OK button at the end where it cancels all pending friend requests and takes you to your page, it says “Something went wrong, please try again later.”

I’VE DONE THIS FIFTY TIMES ALREADY. I’ve even changed the password, but it’ll STILL won’t let me in to check anything. I get notifications still and everything, I just can’t get past that one damn window. I don’t want to wait a week to use my account, that’s how I get in touch with everyone. And I really don’t want to have to start all over again.

Has anyone else out there experienced anything or know where I can call or how to bypass all that? I’m so angry about it. Please help!

Go into your internet browser settings (preferences) and empty the browser cache. Make sure you don't have a Facebook window open at the time. Close your browser immediately after emptying the cache. Then re-open the browser. See if you can then access Facebook.

emptying your cache and cookies wont work, this is a wide spread issue, not just you. I have tried everything and cannot get in currently

Ugh it has happened to me also and I followed the prompts agreeing not to send unwanted friend requests ( followed by a list of people whom I added which didn't recognize my name change) and then when I tried to log in it says 'something went wrong. Try again later' Well I have tried again later, 12 hours later and nothing. I have been suspended from sending friend requests for seven days, but according to FB you can still access your account....I beg to differ.

I do believe that it was a FB checkpoint, their automated system where we may have to many unanswered friends requests etc so it spits out that for all of us at the same time and something has glitched in their system associated with all our accounts. I have tried contacting FB but won't hold my breath for a reply. I read somewhere in my search to find the answers was to wait a day and it should right itself, and I've read that we should wait out our suspension time, which I will but the issue I have with that is my account hasn't been suspended just my ability to add friends, so I do believe that there is a MAJOR glitch with their system and perhaps unless THEY address the issue it won't be fixed, so I guess all we can do is continue to contact their HELP (laughs inwardly) team and hope they sort it out soon.

this happened to many of users today. please report this issue to facebook and let them know about this problem and solve that.

I am currently unable to login with the same message! It has been almost two weeks and still I get the same message. I have sent two messages to FB but have heard nothing! I continue to receive the messages on my email as well. I dont want to lose my pictures and it has cancelled out some of the contacts on my phone since they were linked!! Really getting frustrated!!!!!
