Question about my android bionic and its data plan?

I'm not sure how the plan works, I have 1 GB for my monthly plan. People told me that you can't download apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, etc... because it will get counted into the data plan. Is this true? Please help! D:

Download apps doesn't require a lot of data. Yes it does use the data internet plan from your cell phone but not only a tiny fraction. However using facebook, twitter does not require a heavy load of data since you have 1GB per month. If you watch videos or listening to radio or anything that streams then yes you will use all your data plan in a heartbeat. If you want to watch movies, listen to radio on your cell phone then you have the option of using Wi-Fi from any Wi-Fi hotspot which gives you unlimited internet usage. You can use Wi-Fi to download your apps and use your apps as well instead of using your data internet plan.
