The people who come up on the facebook chatbar...?

Are they random? I mean, usually it's people I talk to fairly often but whenever there is this one guy on who I've never been in a group/chat with, he always pops up. Does this mean he's looking at my page or is it just coincidence?
He's not a new FB friend either
ok ok not gonna lie I look at his page ever so often b/c I like him but I haven't for a while....Like, once a month I do (that sounds weird- it's hard to translate over internet)

It's a mix of randomness, but anyone who shows up there is there for a reason. Maybe they went to your high school, or maybe you message him/her every day, or maybe you have a crush on them and FaceBook knows because ou check their profile every half-hour.

FB keeps a log of everything. And anyone can log onto your chat when its on. It's not random, you looked and he found you back. YOU can block him if it bothers you now.
