Do I have to delete people to block them on Facebook?

So I wanna post something but I don't want ANY of my family too see it. So to do that would I have to remove them and then block them or can I just block them and keep them as a friend on Facebook.

No, you can directly block them.
If you want them totally out you can delete them too

you can only block someone if they are removed from your friends list. However, there is as setting in which you can choose which people see your post.

There's a setting on posting statuses on Facebook. Just click the "Public" button located at the lower right part of the status box which has a little gear icon next to it. A drop down menu will appear. Choose your desired audience and click save changes. Hope i helped in some way Cheers!

Before you post it click the audience selector tool and select custom. There you can add people to "hide from these peoples" and confirm it.

You don't need to delete them when you have already blocked it out from your account.
