can people that you have hidden from your facebook timeline still send you private messages?

Just wondered because I have hidden a few people on my timeline and was wondering if they can still reply to my messages.

Yes they can still reply its just u won't se them pop up on your timeline

Yes, they can both reply to your private messages, and they can send a new private message, as well. Hiding their messages from your timeline doesn't actually block them from anything, it just keeps you from having to wade through all of their public postings.
