I was on Ritalin 27 mg per day about 2 years ago. I was off the meds for that long. Now, I wanted to go back on med, my doctor prescribed 10 mg of generic Adderall (D-Amphetamine Salt combo) as a starter, but I'm not feeling anything that ritalin made me feel. Can I take 20 mg or will I be overdosing?

It sounds like you need this either for illegal use or real use. Either way you should use it only if you REALLY have trouble focusing. Explain the situation to your doctor and if you make a good case you might get put on 20mg to start (thats what I would do).
