Is there a way to turn Facebook's new Search format to earlier one?

I'm fine with Timeline issue, and that's not what I'm asking here. As you may or may not know, previously FB used to have searching format by which you can search for anyone or anything. Now they've made it very limited to search for someone who is not already on your friend list or that of your friend. Is there a way to turn it to the old searching format?
