One of my Facebook friends is trying to catfish me?
I'm 17 years old and female. I have a family friend on Facebook who is a 35 year old married man. I added him on kik and he told me he knew a girl who had a crush on me and he said he was going to get her to message me on kik. 30 minutes later I got a message from someone with 'lesbian02' as their username (not the exact username) and I replied to them saying hi. I then noticed that this person spelt things wrong exactly like this man and also used the same phrases. So I began to doubt this person. I asked them to send me a picture of their face, but instead they sent me a picture of a naked females body (which was clearly taken from the Internet), I asked again for a face pic and received a picture but you could see where they had tried to crop out the Getty images trademark. I keep getting asked out by this person and they keep asking personal questions. Could it be the family friend who's actually messaging me and should I talk to him personally telling him I know what hes doing?

If I were you I would delete him from your Facebook and ignore any communication from someone you don't know. This whole things is creepy.

WOW! Nice awareness. Don't confront him. And don't let him know about all the tell tell signs that he left behind. Keep it to yourself.

Delete that person from your account. If the fake girl tries to contact you, just say not interested. Don't say why. After a while, he will come to you and ask what ever happened to you and that other girl. Ask him, "Why do you ask?" Milk him for as much info as you can, but don't tell him about the tell tell signs. He might try it again down the road. You will be ready for it cause you know what to look for!
