What the HECK can we do now?
My friend has over 1000 friends on facebook. However, she does not get into technology and has a brain tumor and forgets things etc. She is also very beautiful and popular. Well , apparently her cousin got jealous and even tho my friend was naive enough to trust her with her facebook password, her cousin went and changed it on her! They got into a fight about it and my friend called me to ask me to help her retrieve it ( I am pretty good at getting around on things like that , guessing passwords and figuring thing out) . SO I gladly started investigating it today. PROBLEM IS, the email registered at facebook is an old Comcast email that she has not had active i YEARS.
I find it strange that she says her cousin won't 'give' her the new password. If she did indeed reset the password on her, it was sent to that inactive email (that's what happened when I tried to reset it) so she can't possible have the password either. OR ANYONE for that matter! Now it's really a mess and I just don't get why her cousin would say she forgot the new password when as I can see, there is no way she could have gotten it!
she could have had it sent to the phone number but of course...THAT is also an old number. So either way it's the same dilemma.

Not much you can do except contact Facebook and ask them to fix it.

Well Since The Password Was Changed and Since The Email is No Longer in Service Not Much you Can Do Really Make a New Account you Can Try Contacting Facebook at the Help Center But They Get a lot of Messages a Day So They Dont Write Back They May Investigate it But it Probably Wont Be For a While
