Potential scam Facebook request?

So just this morning it seems I received a friends request on Facebook. It was from moderately attractive girl who I noticed had only 1 friend. Almost immediately after I accepted she started messaging me, the details of which are:
"howdie, Im new to California and Im just settling in from a trip.

Soo bored of un-packing and want to hook up wit some locals and get a drink!!! Text my new number (# won't be shown in case it's real)
I cant stress how bored I am. Even thinking about going to a bar by myself.. text my cell I might even send you some pics.

o.k. well im getting off here, chat soon!! if we you dont text today have a great rest of your sunday "

What strikes me as odd about this is how....enthusiastic she is. It's almost like one of those fake IM ads you sometimes see on websites where you're shown an image of a girl and there's this same automated-like IM that gets sent along with it.

I'm not really sure what to make of this, is this potentially one of those scam Facebook requests I've heard about?
