How can I update my facebook profile with films, books, TV programmes and music without notifying everybody?

Don't really use FB much and want to start. I'd like to update the stuff under the more dropdown bit on my profile (place, books, music, TV programmes etc.) without spamming everybody with notifications. Stealthy, like a ninja. Is there any way to do this?

Go to your privacy settings and set to "only me" , when you like something you have the option to "don't show in newsfeed" or "hide from my timeline".
