No, it's not. If Facebook decided to just "close down" they would probably announce it on the main page of the site, not in a message being passed around Facebook. Why would they need you to pass it on to people when they could send the message to everyone in the site themselves? They could put a banner on the front page announcing the closure?
Not only that, but it would definitely be in the news if Facebook was going to shut itself down.
