How does location info under Facebook private messaging work?

I really need answer to this. Does anyone know whether the location that shows under the message is the ACTUAL location from where the message was sent, or, is it the location of where the person first LOGGED IN to the Facebook account?
Another question - is the location accurate?

Yes, the location is typically accurate especially if your posting on a mobile device with GPS enabled. This will put your exact location most of the time.

It goes by when the message was sent, not where you logged in from.
