How to tell my mum that I want facebook?
I turned fourteen last month and I really want a Facebook so that I can talk to all of my classmates and get to know them more...but I don't know how to bring it up without my mum bringing up all of the sad stories about bullying. It doesn't help that I have a little bit of autism (though nobody can even tell that I have it) and that I've been having a few friendship troubles. I don't know how to bring it into a conversation that I want Facebook...I just want to be able to chat with others and get to know them as I feel left out because I don't have it. What should I do?

Be honest with your mum tell her how you feel and that you will only be using it for what you say you will and what she wants you to use it for... Tell her all the positives... You and your friends can talk about homework help each other out etc... She may want to check your Facebook also from time to time so if your okay with it, tell her she can check if she wants? Dunno how you'd feel about it but she would probably be more comfortable if that's what it takes for her to let you have an account xx
