Yes. It will show on the notifications (the little earth I think on the top right of the page)
"______ tagged you in a picture [name of the picture]" XD I don't remember, but it is something like that. |

yes, they will be notified by facebook - and some people even have it set up so they have to approve the tag before it is connected with their profile
