Weird facebook messages?

People keep receiving weird Facebook messages from me in big groups saying things like "free ipads at this website" I also receive these messages from other people... How can I stop them from being sent and received? Thanks!

Go to FB Home -->Account Settings / then APPS - (look upper right menu of HOME page) - and remove/block recent/strange applications which you may have accidentally given permission/access to your account by clicking an unknown link.

The spam message may show the name of this App in small grey letters in the Spam post. Warn friends NOT to click or reply to Spam - they can just report or delete it. You may been to visit friends walls to help the delete posts if it they already Posted from your account to friend's Walls. Change your Password also.

Remove that particular apps from your account by unlike/deactivateing it.

Change your Password and Delete Those Messages Those Messages Were Sent Because your Account Got Hacked Once you Change your Password and Delete the Messages it Should Not Happen Again if it Does Check your Apps Page see if you Have Anything Suspicious Installed on your Facebook
