Can you be added to a "secret group" on Facebook without being invited and or accepting a request?
I got a notification saying "John Doe has added you to the secret group" but I never asked 2b part of it

Yes - you can. An group administrators can do this.

I don't know what the hell that other guy is talking about... using simple logic you can answer your own question.
If you have not been invited nor have you accepted a request, aside from magic, you will not just show up in a "secret group". |

If a group is secret then you can't see it unless you're a member. So yes, you must be added by an already existing group member and you must accept to show up as a group member.
