Analyzing Likes on Facebook?

I am trying to gather the likes facebook users make on posts and photos so i can analyze them and create cognitive models for the users for my thesis. I am trying to do this using my profile and profiles of my friends who gave me the permission to use the data on their wall.

I tried gathering this data with FQL query from their developers page but didn't get any results, i tried downloading the facebook archive but there are no such data in there.

Finally i know that this data exists in the Activity log of every user but is there a way to do that automatically?
