Should I delete my tumblr or is there another way?

So I wrote a really personal birthday message that is going to be sent to one of my favorite celebs. I later found out though that the message would be public. And I signed it with my full name and twitter but I wanted to stay incognito by using my anon tumblr. Is there a way to take back the message? I googled it and read that it's now permanent. Should I just delete my tumblr so it goes away forever?

Even if you delete your tumblr, it doesn't go away. It'll stay posted (or if it hasn't been posted yet, it'll stay in their inbox) forever. It just won't link to your blog because your blog would be deleted.
