facebook relationship status question?

Ive changed my relationship status but I only want my 2 best friends to see it on facebook for privacy reasons. Would they know that they are the only people that can see it? Im going to delete it from my timeline so it only shows in the about section no life event or anything

and if people went on my girlfriends profile with they be able to see my name?

They would know only they can see it if you tell them, FB doesn't inform that and if someone goes to your girlfriend profile they will see your name,you cannot change that with the privacy settings.

It will have a small gray icon of a gear by the post and it will say "shared with: custom". So basically that could mean that one person was blocked from seeing it, or 100 people were blocked from seeing it, so no, they won't be able to tell they are the only two ones.

This is something I will never understand...if you don't want people to see your relationship status, why do you even want to post it at all? I mean, why is there a need to post this when you only want your two best friends to know when they must know without the post/

If your girlfriend has you as her "relationship", if anyone looks at her profile, they will see that.
