What do you think of the packet House Republicans are bringing to their home districts in August?
When House Republicans retreat to their districts for the August recess, they will each be armed with a detailed guide — an exceptionally detailed guide — on how to assure their already convinced constituents that Washington is broken.

The August House Republican Conference planning kit, titled “Fighting Washington for All Americans,” offers a rare glimpse into the constituent outreach efforts of the GOP. Those efforts, it turns out, are highly calculated, hashtag-heavy and rife with references to the video app Vine.

Washington is broken. After they spent 8 years trashing the economy, then the last 5 blocking all attempts to fix it.

Amazing.

I can't see any way that teaching Americans to distrust government serves this country well. That is a new low in the governing of this country. The Republican Party used to be at least fairly reasonable but every year they get worse. They're doing a lot of things now they've never done before in my lifetime. For example, both parties used to fight to prove they were better for the public education of our kids. A politician was terrified that voters would think he wasn't. This current Republican Party is totally messed up.
